Personal Background
Born in Roseboro, NC, Dr. Stewart was a high school football all-star and graduated with honors from Campbell University in 1972, having received the Edna Q. Profit Chemistry Award. Following one year as a chemistry teacher and football coach, he worked for nine years as a chemical engineer for the DuPont Corporation before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic.  Receiving several clinical and leadership awards upon graduation, Dr. Stewart served as a Clinical Teaching Resident prior to accepting the position as Director of Public Clinics at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. Though he enjoyed teaching, Dr. Stewart desired a more direct involvement in patient care; he entered private practice in 1987.

Married to Dr. Suzanne Clare since 1986, Dr. Stewart is the father of six (ages 38, 36, 34, 17, 16, and 15) and the grandfather of eight. His three youngest children were adopted from Russia. Dr. Stewart is delighted to speak before civic and professional groups on topics ranging from international adoption and traveling in China, to health issues including child seat safety, herbal medicines, acupuncture, and chiropractic.
